Tobias Kawalec (University of Oxford)
Tobias Kawalec is joining us after having finished his doctoral studies at the University of Oxford, where he was supervised by Martin Ellison and Michael McMahon. Tobias's research lies at the intersection of theoretical and empirical macroeconomics, with a particular focus on the interactions between fiscal and monetary policy, sovereign debt, and aspects of international macro-finance.
Tobias is looking forward to contributing to the outstanding economic research community in Vienna in the future, and is excited to develop collaborations with his new colleagues.
Krishna Srinivasan (University of Zurich)
Krishna is joining the Department of Economics in September. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at UniDistance Suisse and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Zurich. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Zurich in 2024.
Krishna's primary research interests lie in behavioral and public economics. His research combines theory and experiments to study the implications of citizens' beliefs and preferences for the role of governments.
In his free time, Krishna enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling.
