20.12.2021

The Käthe-Leichter State Prize for outstanding achievements in the field of Women's and gender Studies goes to economist Christine Zulehner.

On December 15, 2021, Federal Minister Susanne Raab presented the award to Christine Zulehner, Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics.

"It is a special honor for me to be able to award leading female economists with the Käthe-Leichter Prize. Their groundbreaking contributions to Women's Research, as well as their role model status as leaders in Economics, ensure that more opportunities will also open up for girls and women in the future," said Minister for Women's Affairs Susanne Raab.

With her focus on the so-called "Gender Wage Gap", Christine Zulehner regularly provides up-to-date figures on the development and causes of gender pay gaps.
