We welcome Christine Zulehner

She is joining us from University of Frankfurt a.M. as full Professor of Economic Policy

Christine Zulehner is joining us from Goethe University Frankfurt. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Humboldt University Berlin, and also held positions at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austrian Institute of Economic Research, University of Vienna, Social Science Research Center Berlin and Institute for Advanced Studies Vienna.

She is interested in industrial organization, competition policy, applied microeconomics and gender economics. Her research has been published in international journals such as the American Economic Review, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of the European Economic Association and Review of Financial Studies. Christine has also been a consultant on antitrust cases to government agencies and firms.

Christine is Austrian. She likes going to the gym and yoga and enjoys reading and travelling. When asked, why she accepted our offer she answered "I'm happy to join a dynamic department with a most attractive research environment and excellent opportunities for joint projects. It is also good to return to the department where my academic career started. And after some years abroad, I'm also happy to be able to spend more time with my family and old friends."
